• NEW 4-14-15
    Dear Parents and Community Members,

On April 13, 2015, The Board of Selectmen accepted the School Committee's request to postpone the Annual Town Meeting from May 11, 2015 to June 1, 2015.  The Committee made the request to allow for more time for the new Superintendent of Schools, Elizabeth Legault, to review the current deficit along with the proposed FY16 budget.  The school department has experienced numerous changes in the last week which have significantly impacted the budget process.

The School Committee is working diligently to minimize additional changes to its schedule of meetings.  We will be taking a different approach to this Thursday's meeting.  We will be having a workshop joint discussion with the new Superintendent, School Administrators, the East Bridgewater Education Association, Board of Selectman, and Finance Committee members to best address the schools needs and the cuts that will be made.  The public hearing of the budget will in turn take place at a later date.

At this time the School Committee believes these changes will be most beneficial to the students of East Bridgewater in addition to providing factual information to parents, and community members. If you have any questions regarding these changes please contact the Committee via email at

Thank you for your continued patience and understanding.
