Dear East Bridgewater Community,
The East Bridgewater School Committee is proud to announce the appointment of Dr. Gina Williams as
the District’s new Superintendent of Schools.
A longtime resident of East Bridgewater and a proud graduate of the public schools, Dr. Williams brings
over three decades of experience in education, including
dedicated service with the District. Her deep roots in the community, combined with her proven
leadership and unwavering commitment to students, make her uniquely
qualified to lead the District into its next chapter.
Dr. Williams began her career as a teaching assistant before advancing through the roles of classroom
teacher, Assistant Principal, and Principal at the Central School.
In her most recent position as Assistant Superintendent, she has worked closely with staff, students, and
families to strengthen academic programs and support services across the District.
Dr. Williams holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Elementary Education from Plymouth State College, a
Master’s Degree in Special Education from
Simmons College, an Advanced Graduate Degree in Educational Leadership from Fitchburg State
College, and a Doctorate in Educational Leadership from
Northeastern University.
Given Dr. Williams’ extensive background within the District and her outstanding record of leadership,
the School Committee determined that a search process for the superintendent position was not necessary.
Dr. Williams not only meets but exceeds all the qualifications required for the role and has demonstrated
her ability to lead
with vision, integrity, and deep knowledge of the community’s educational needs.
The School Committee members express their full confidence in Dr. Williams and look forward to
working alongside her to ensure a bright future for all students and
staff in East Bridgewater.
